I was chatting with someone recently, and she said, “I really wish

I could lose my extra weight.  I weigh more than I ever have before.”

When I mentioned my book, she said, “I don’t have time to read a book
or follow a plan.”
Really?  If you have time to eat, you have time to do something about
your weight.
So I started thinking about a fast, easy strategy anyone can use to drop
some pounds A.S.A.P.
Ready?
I call it my “halftime” strategy.
Every time you eat or drink, only eat or drink half what you usually serve.
Think you can’t do it?  Think you’ll go hungry?  Try it.  You’ll be amazed.
If you’re really concerned you’ll still be hungry, take the other half of your
usual portion, wrap it up or stow it away…just in case.  But keep it out of
sight.
It’s not dieting.  You can still eat cheesecake.  You just eat half a slice
instead.
I guarantee you’ll lose weight, likely right off the bat.
Is this a healthy strategy?  It is if you eat healthy foods to begin with, and that has nothing to do with dieting or trying to lose weight.
If you don’t eat healthy foods with regularity, it seems to me that cutting your portion sizes in half right off the bat is a step towards healthier eat ing.
(Keep in mind that if you have special medical conditions or dietary restrictions, any change in eating habits needs to be approved by your physician.)
So give my “halftime” strategy a try, and don’t forget to pull out “Real People Don’t Diet” for another read, before we head into the holiday season.   One of the bonuses explains how you can enjoy holiday foods without gaining a ton of extra weight.
Remember, “Real People Don’t Diet” is all about how real people can eat
real food and lose pounds…without dieting…because dieting doesn’t work.
Keep it real, and see you next week!
Warmly,
